Today I wanted to share a very simple, classic dress worn two ways.  Styling a favorite piece, like this dress, in different ways is something we all have in common.  However, sometimes I struggle with picking the right pieces that can transition from one season to another.  I struggle with it because the warm weather  in Florida really doesn’t give much of a change in seasons.  I always feel that I look like I’m dressed for summer.  So, I challenged myself to create two looks with one dress.

This Dorothy Perkins striped dress (on sale under $25!) is one of the newest items in my closet.  I chose this piece because it was so versatile, and would allow me to transition my style from summer to fall.  My first look illustrates a simple summer look with the addition of these gladiator sandals.  In the coming months, I’ll be moving on from summer sandals to more substantial footwear that yearns for crisp fall days.  The fall in Florida is still warm, but pairing a vest (on sale under $50!) and booties gives a fall vibe without adding too many layers.  To finish off both looks, try a few simple accessories like this ring and this perfect little cross-body handbag.

How do you style your favorite items from look to look or season to season?

xo, Maria
